“The days of Adonis are upon us”

On the morning of July 4^th 2007 the Lord spoke a very interesting word to me:

He said  “YOU ARE ENTERING INTO THE DAYS OF ADONIS”
and just after hearing the Lord say this, I actually heard myself in the spirit prophesying that “THE DAYS OF ADONIS ARE UPON US!"

Please understand I do not ever remember hearing this name in anyway until I heard the Lord speak this to me on July 4th and I did not have the first clue what it meant so I had to research all of this out totally from scratch. One thing that I found out is the name Adonis has a strong connection with Greek mythology but what I am about to say is completely aside from any of that.

Adonis was a name used in ancient Judaism as a spoken substitute for the ineffable name of God, and it is akin to the name "Adonai” meaning “my Lord” and it originated in ancient Phoenicia. The significance of this is that Phoenicia is an ancient maritime country along the eastern Mediterranean Sea; in modern times this would be parts of present-day Israel, Syria, and Lebanon. Its people became the foremost navigators and traders of the Mediterranean by 1250 BC and established numerous colonies, including Carthage in northern Africa. The Phoenicians traveled to the edges of the known world at the time and introduced their alphabet, based on symbols for sounds rather than cuneiform or hieroglyphic representations, to the Greeks and other early peoples.

The Phoenicians were widely famed in commerce, trade routes, and navigation; also they excelled tremendously in revolutionary, articulate communication!
This has such a strong apostolic reflection and a direct parallel to a never before seen apostolic revolution that is beginning to happen right now within the body of Christ, it is absolutely amazing!!! The relevance of this is that the core of the apostolic mantle is to strategically navigate around the pitfalls and trappings of the corruption of this world system with kingdom truth; to facilitate the commerce and economy of heaven, as well as having the ability to articulately communicate and influence cultures in order to shift them for the Kingdom of God. (The Phoenicians of that era influenced and revolutionized the Greek language which in turn, eventually revolutionized the world)

The synonyms of Adonis are : admirable, aristocratic, athletic, august, beautiful, becoming, clean-cut, comely, dapper, elegant, fair, fashionable, fine, good-looking, graceful, hunk, impressive, lovely, majestic, muscular, noble, personable, pulchritudinous, robust, sharp, slick, smart, smooth, spruce, stately, strong, stylish, tuna, virile, well-dressed, well-proportioned … And the only antonym is ugly!
So in other words, Adonis is anything that is the exact opposite of ugly!!! The meat of this word that I feel the Lord has given to me is this: “Adonis,” the extremely impressive, ultimate beauty, indescribable majesty of Adonai - my Lord - is being released and we are going to see an unveiling of God like nobody has ever witnessed before !!!

The second part of this word that is directly connected to this picture is this: the gross darkness is also being released and those who are building / depending upon their own works or their traditions (forms of religion) will become very suspect and so vulnerable to the assignments of the enemy and will have little to no defense to a spirit of destruction (which would be the very opposite of Adonis) but those who are humbling themselves under the mighty hand of God and laboring to enter into His rest will experience "Adonis" the awesome beauty of true holiness.

This is the season of the extreme beauty of our Lord "Adonai" and the enemy does not want people to experience it ... at all!!! For thousands of years he (the enemy) has gloated and boasted in the fact that man fell from the grace of God even while in a perfect environment where virtually nothing was corrupt (except the serpent himself). Now here we are thousands of years later, seeing the birthing of an awesome apostolic revolution, and because of this - there is an unprecedented awakening to the true patterns of righteousness in the heavens.

What I am talking about is a re-establishing upon and a reconnecting with - principal truth - which will aggressively confront, wreak total havoc with, and absolutely decimate the spirit of religion!!! Now the enemy is absolutely petrified of the very thought that man will be able to stand fast in the grace of God even in such a wicked and perverse generation where seemingly everything in this world is totally corrupt - which is exactly what is beginning to happen . This new breed of believers would exemplify his totally stripped and completely defeated status in an unprecedented way!!! So he is trying to counter balance the glorious beauty and extreme pleasure of Adonai (my Lord) with extreme deception, destruction, and perversion.

I feel so strong in my spirit that this has so much to do with not only the end of a 40 year period since the "summer of love" in 1967 and the severe deceptions and perversions that have been so abundant in the world ever since. I also believe the body of Christ is about to enter into something brand new and experience the launching of a whole new era and an unprecedented unveiling of God in a way that we have never even seen before! In the last 40 years the Church has tolerated and even entertained much error and has also suffered much because of it. But much like the children of Israel after wandering in the wilderness for 40 years they came into an unveiling of inheritance and establishment that was never seen before and permanently marked history. (Some very good things come out of Israel’s wandering in the wilderness for 40 years and a lot of very good things have come out of the church in the last 40 years) I am totally convinced by the spirit of God that something very similar is about to unfold right now, right before our eyes.

The enemy has had his season of perverseness and rebellion but now it is time for the extreme beauty of holiness that can only be ascribed to Adonai to be revealed in such a way that it will revolutionize mindsets and belief systems all over the globe! I believe there is a revolution that is being birthed right now and a kingdom momentum is mounting up that will rival anything that mankind has ever witnessed before! One of the things that defined the summer of love was “a spiritual revolution” and it was certainly unprecedented but unfortunately it was a revolution in the wrong direction and was connected to a ton of corruption and perversion. I believe what we are about to see is a new and unprecedented spiritual revolution - but as a series of opposites from that era. Those who will receive it will be caught up in an explosion of exponential growth in Christ that will be most accurately described as a “quantum leap”.

To be totally honest with you I do not think that there is enough theology on the face of the earth that will adequately equip us for what is about to happen! The Lord recently asked me this question: “When Paul told Timothy to study to show himself approved unto God (2 Tim 2:15) what was he supposed to be approved of?” We know beyond a shadow of a doubt it was not salvation, righteousness, grace, love, etc … all of that was provided on the cross of Jesus Christ. “Theology” is the study of God and the only thing that theology truly approves us for is “theocracy” the government of God, which is more of a “transcendent” theology. The study of the logos is absolutely critical in order to prepare us for the overshadowing, impregnating, and empowerment of the rhema!!! If we overload on the logos we will be educated above and beyond our obedience. If we focus too much on rhema, our zeal will exceed our wisdom!!!

We desperately need both! The logos is a sure foundation for the rhema. There is a due order and a proper balance and we will be severely limited if we don‘t have both! No doubt that God is pouring out His spirit upon all flesh and the earth is truly being filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea!!!

If there has ever been a time to totally sell out, surrender all, and draw near to God as He will draw near to you … it is right now! Yes, gross darkness is arising all around us but to those who strive to enter into His rest and not depend on anything else but the word of God - logos and rhema, true relationship with Jesus Christ and being led by the Holy Spirit of God ... THE DAYS OF ADONIS ARE UPON US!!! 

2 Thessalonians 1:11 - 12 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the work of faith with power: (12) That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Psalm 29:2 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness

Psalm 96:6-9 Honor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.(7) Ascribe to the Lord, O you families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.(8) Give to the Lord the glory due His name; bring an offering and come [before Him] into His courts. (9) O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness; tremble before and reverently fear Him, all the earth.

Heb 4:3 “For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world”
Psalms 95 “O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. (2) Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. (3) For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. (4) In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. (5) The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. (6) O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. (7) For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today if ye will hear his voice, (8) Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: (9) When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. (10) Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: (11) Unto whom I swore in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest"

Let’s seek the face of God like never before and labor to enter into His rest ... and if by any chance you have not started yet, start today!!! Amen!
